The Institute For Kitty Cat Research was established in 1993 in San Diego, CA, as a laboratory for observing kitty cat behavior in a home environment containing all the usual fields where one will find the average domestic cat such as the living room, kitchen, and jungle fields, plus a few locations further afield such as the Veterinary Office and Cat Show.
Two distinguished researchers live at the Institute–Linda and Rick Miles, Drs. of Kitty Catology. In addition to taking detailed field notes about their five study subjects, Linda serves as the Director of Input and Rick serves as the Director of Output.
A branch of the Institute is located near Plymouth, Wisconsin where renown Doctors of Kitty Catology, Betty and Vance Wilson, observe two study subjects as they interact with a dog in the fields of their home laboratory and the fields of their farm.
